The Search Begins

Detailed meetings with the client contact and others within the firm, as well as reviews of company literature allow us to develop a thorough understanding of the firm, its culture and mission, and the very people who make things work.

We work with the client to define the ideal candidate, based on the job description, the background and experience needed, and the individual's personality. When necessary, we can help management define its expectations. Finally, we develop a timeline and shared understandings of everyone's expectations.

Identifying and Evaluating

Through our comprehensive proprietary database and networking, we identify and prescreen potential prospects. We typically contact each candidate to answer any questions triggered by their resumes or our records. While some discussions may occur over the phone, we prefer to meet with candidates in person before presenting them to the client. We gather and evaluate personal and professional references to ensure compatibility with the firm's corporate culture. We often use our database to identify and contact individuals who have worked with the candidate in the past, enhancing our knowledge of work ethic, technical skills, and integrity.

Presentation to Client

After the initial interviews, we create comprehensive profiles of the prescreened candidates and assist clients in preparing for interviews. We can also arrange for personal assessment testing of cognitive reasoning, leadership ability, and overall intelligence. Once the client has made a hiring decision, we help structure a compensation package based on the position and current trends within the investment industry. We also assist new hires with all aspects of the relocation process to ensure a smooth transition, and can introduce sales/marketing professionals to their new prospects. What's more, we can publicize the hire's new affiliation with the client's business by creating and sending press releases to financial publications.

Follow-up

A key element of our success is our post-placement follow-up process, which creates a sense of trust and enhances our relationship with clients. After several months, we assess whether both client and new employee are happy with the situation, and identify any changes that must be made to meet either side's expectations. This process is conducted at our expense, and is supplemented by client satisfaction surveys.
